Best moments at school

1. When Mum and Dad got me a computer to bring to school for BYOD. I also got a wireless mouse which is cool. I like having a blog and I have done 26 posts this year.   

  

2. Ski trip. It took ages to get to Mount Hutt but it was so worth it.  I had a snowboard lesson - my first one ever.

I did a flip by mistake because I hit a big chunk of ice.

3.  My first school camp at Wainui.  I really really loved the archery.  One of my arrows went up the side and it hit the back and made a big bang.  I got to use the walkie - talkie too.

4.  When I got up to level 20 for my spelling I was really pleased with myself.  I practice my spelling a lot at home with Mum.

5. At school I like to play on the on the big adventure playground.  I have leant to skip four tyres on the rope swing.  Some of my friends can skip tyres too.

This is a rope swing but not like the one we have at school. The one at school is not over a river!!

Masterchef

I decided to do Masterchef for my home learning. So I went grocery shopping with Mum on Monday. I wanted to make hot dogs so we needed to get frankfurters and buns. At home we had cheese’ tomato sauce and mustard. Here are some photos of me making:

I had to get all the ingredients out. Then I cut the long buns down the middle. I put the frankfurters into the pot and waited until they were cooked. After that I put the frankfurters into the buns and put grated cheese on top. Then we put it in the microwave to melt the cheese. Mum squirted on the tomato sauce and mustard. At the same time I cooked fries in the oven. They took 20 minutes. We had these with the hot dogs. For pudding we had chocolate ice cream in a cone with sprinkles or ice cream with strawberries.

Soccer

On a Saturday I play soccer with my team. I have made some more friends and had a lot of fun and we learnt a lot. I can not wait till next year. I am in the Tenth grade colts. My team is made up of really good players because this year I should of been in the 9th grade.

On a tuesday I go to soccer practice and on a saturday I play an actual game.

My team has won 8 games this season a I am proud of myself and my team. In a game of soccer I was in the goal for the first half and I stopped all the balls that went at me.

Snow day

    Snow day

In the morning at 8.00am I went out to the lounge and looked out the window. It was snowing but then it started raining.

We went to have breakfast. It was sort of snowing then again it rained.

After a while it started snowing hard then it slowly stopped snowing in the end. None of the snow stayed around though. It was too wet on the ground from all the rain.

It has not snowed in Springston for three years. But when it snowed 3 years ago it snowed heaps and it was like 5 metres deep!

It snowed lots and lots and lots in Rangiora when we were 3 years old. I can remember playing in it with Aunty Sue.

In 2014 it snowed really hard and we made a snowman that had gloves and a scarf.

I was really wishing it was going to snow in the school holidays.

About the school chickens.

About the school chickens.

In the second term this year our school got chickens. There is a chicken club and there are kids that look after the chickens.

In the chicken club there is a roster for which day of the week and what break you go to feed and look after the chickens.

There are 19 kids in the chicken club. Their names are Poppy, Charlotte W, Lexie, Adele, Lucy, Carys, Fletcher, Sammy, Deklyn, Jayden, Tegan, Paris, Quintin, Danica, Keira, Mckenzie, Harrison, James and Charlotte.

For the holidays, Joe our chicken club leader, made a roster for who was going to look after the chickens. Our turn was on the first Tuesday of the holidays. It was fun feeding them and the best part was that they had laid six eggs!!

How fidget spinners work?

TV tower

This is my sky tower. It is shiny and tall. It is from China. I got it from my Aunty Sue and Uncle Reg. They live in Auckland but they went over to China for a working holiday.

My brothers have one too. Mine is bronze and Jayden's is silver. Ben has a gold one. They have black, soft bottoms. They light up at night time. They look really awesome and sparkly.

We got them a couple of days ago. They came as a parcel in the mail. I like getting mail in the mailbox.

About Cats

The holidays.

In the holidays Jayden and I got our new computers set up. Dad's computer guy, Sam came and set them up for us. They were really cool and shiny and the cover that came with them always has to stay on them. It will protect them just in case they get dropped.

Our friend Hunter came over when Sam was working on setting up our computers so we played with him for a bit. After that we were able to go on our computers and we got things downloaded into our computers. We went on them to do some work on them for the first time. I was so excited and couldn't wait to take mine to school.

Family Game Night!

On Sunday night I organised a family game of Twister. Jayden, Ben and I played and Mum rolled the dice. We played for about 45 mins. I lost both games. I think that was because Ben was in the way. But Mum said that was all part of the game. Ben loves Twister now and wants to play it every night.

On Saturday Jayden and I had a sleepover at our house with Harrison and Deklyn.

First we went and showed Deklyn the sheep. Then when Harrison arrived we all went on the Xbox. It was fun as.

For dinner we had pizza, chips and fizzy drink from Pizza Hut.

When we went to bed we listened to music. Deklyn and I took ages to get to sleep. We didn't get much sleep that night.

In the morning we went on the Xbox for 13 minutes.Then we had breakfast. After that we got dressed into our clothes. We kept on playing on the Xbox. We went to clean our teeth then played inside on the computer and on the computer we played Kizi. It was fun.

We went outside to play hide and go seek. Jayden was in. When we all had been found I was in. Then Harrison was in. When he had found everyone then Deklyn was in.

We went inside to play with the Thunderbirds for 56 minutes. Then we played outside again and played on the trampoline. We also got the sports gear out and played rugby and soccer for a bit. Sometime after that Deklyn and Harrison had to go home.

It was fun having my friends over at my house and especially to stay the night.

My Dream Day

In the morning I woke up to watch TV then I went to play cricket for 20 minutes. Afterwards I went to a bar and had ginger beer then I went home to play soccer for 19 minutes.

I went shopping to get some food for dinner. We had steak for dinner then we went to bed.

In the morning I went shopping for lunch. I went to play pool with my friends for 25 minutes then I went  for dinner. After dinner I played soccer for 67 minutes.  Then I played another game of soccer at Foster Park for 34 minutes. Then I went out for dinner. Then we went to bed.

In the morning we had Weetbix for breakfast. Then we got dressed into our clothes. Then went to have lunch in the mall. For lunch we had sushi. We were there for 20 minutes. Then we went home to have dinner. Then we went to bed.

In the morning we had breakfast. Then I went to work for 20 minutes. Then i went home to have lunch then I went to Dunedin for two weeks. Then I went home to see my family. Then I went to a bar for 15 minutes then I went home to go on the computer for work email.

Then we went to bed. In the morning I had breakfast then I went to work for 56 minutes then I game home to see my family then I went home the end.    

Soccer writing

Hi.I am Sam and I am 8 years old. I love playing soccer. I am in the 10th Grade Colts team and play for Selwyn United Football Club. I get very dirty when I play soccer but I don't mind. I have heaps of skills like side stepping with the ball.

I can be defence and striker and a midfielder. I have been playing soccer for  five years now. I started playing when I was 4 years old. I play soccer every Saturday and I practice on a Tuesday.

I love to play with balls. I find heaps of balls everywhere. I kick balls everywhere too. I lose balls everywhere, then I find them and I bring them inside to show Mum and Dad. Then I go outside and find more balls!!

I would play soccer all day if I was allowed to.
